Meet the Support Squad

Just four moms on a mission.

We’re not professionals or experts just four regular moms who came together with one shared goal -to make a difference in our community for families like ours. Each of us has a child on the autism spectrum, and we know firsthand how isolating, overwhelming, and confusing the journey can feel.

That’s why we created the Autism Support Squad of Northwest Ohio to build a space where families feel seen, supported, and celebrated. We're passionate, persistent, and proud to be part of this movement for inclusion and understanding.

  • Originally from Delphos, Ohio, I've lived in Middle Point for the past seven years with my husband Nick and our four year old daughter Paisley. Nick and I have been together for ten years, married for six.

When we received Paisley’s diagnosis, I felt isolated and uncertain about how to navigate our future, especially with limited local support resources. Paisley’s resiliency first being born at 32 weeks and then her Autism diagnosis at two and a half was my driving force to create something that was so deeply needed.

I was able to connect with Nicole, Amy, and Alli and together we created a local village focused on genuine inclusion, designing social events where all families can participate.

Paisley continues to inspire my mission of creating communities where every person belongs and every family has the support they need to thrive.

  • I am a lifelong resident of Delphos, Ohio. My husband Jay is a deputy with the Van Wert County Sheriff’s Office, and together we’re raising two boys, Conner who’s almost 10, and Jacob, who’s 5. Our journey into the world of autism began when Jacob was diagnosed with nonverbal level 3 autism at age three. Navigating that path showed us how limited local resources were for families like ours.
This cause is deeply personal, not just as a mom, but also in memory of my brother, Adam Clark, who served as Chief Deputy of Van Wert County and was a strong advocate for programs like Project Lifesaver and Christmas with kids. His passion for helping others continues to inspire me every step of the way.

  • I am a proud mom of two amazing boys and wife. My husband Cory and have been together for 10 years married for 9. Our journey with autism began when our younger son was diagnosed with autism at 3. Like many parents, I dove into learning everything I could while navigating therapies and everything thath comes with this diagnosis. As we grew through our journey it became clear our rural area lacked the resources, support, and awareness that so many autism families need and deserve. When my son was first diagnosed I remember how scared and overwhelmed I felt. It was like stepping into a whole new world without a map and without anyone to guide me. I didn’t know where to turn or who to talk to. That experience lit a fire in me. I never want another parent to feel that same fear or isolation. My passion is to create the kind of support system I wish I had back then. This work is deeply personal to me and Theo inspires me to continue to be part of a growing movement for change right here at home.

  • I’ve been married to my husband, Mark, for 15 years, and together we’re raising our four amazing sons: Hunter (12), Cooper (9), Brodi (7), and Grayson (4).Our journey with neurodiversity began when Cooper was diagnosed with ADHD and autism spectrum disorder two years ago, followed by Grayson’s level two autism diagnosis just a year later.
After navigating the emotional and often overwhelming early days of these diagnoses, I connected with three incredible women who shared similar experiences. Together, we founded Autism Support Squad of Northwest Ohio, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting inclusion and uplifting families—especially moms—who are just beginning this journey. We believe no one should feel alone, and we’re committed to building a community
where support, understanding, and hope are always within reach.
